Like some resorts, the vast majority of local shops are open all year round. You will find many bakeries, chocolate makers, butchers, cheese shops. Quality, rigor, love of the product define the craftsmen of Megève.
Some cheese factories, such as Cheminée Megevanne, offer raclette services for hire if you are not equipped. You can buy fondu, raclette or other household appliances in a different way in the pulsat store very close to the center.
The ladies casseroles or the epicure offer roast chickens. Remember to order in advance, a simple dish that will satisfy the whole family.

Trick: For lovers of fresh bread, remember to reserve your order. In high season, bakeries very often run out of bread after 5 p.m. and in the morning, the pains au chocolat and croissant go quickly.

Supermarkets in Megève and its surroundings

There are two small supermarkets inside the village. For larger supermarkets with more choice stop on the outskirts of Megève on the national road. Despite their small size, these mini markets have a wide choice. The mountain crossroads also has a butcher and cheese shop.

GOOD TO KNOW: Shops have the right to open on Sundays (open 7 days a week), because they are part of a tourist area.
